Helen Hamer trained at the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts (LIPA) where she studied Acting with Performing Arts.

Since graduating in 2002, she has toured the country with several different theatre companies, including several tours with Cragrats, Louisa in The Sound Of Music (West Yorkshire Playhouse), Starting Here, Starting Now, (Edinburgh Fringe Festival), Leading Lady in A Night At The Music Hall (Tour), Over The Rainbow (National no.1 tour).

Helen began playing instruments and singing from a very young age, as one of the 4th generation of a family of actors and musicians. She plays the piano and the flute and her singing styles cross through from folk, country, to folk-pop and musical theatre She likes to sing popular, familiar songs in her own style, accompanying herself on the piano.
